Earlier tonight Ässät played against Vasa Sport for a place in the SM-Liiga next season. Ässät lost on home ice a couple of days ago but took the away win in Vasa.Both teams have won a game each and it is interesting to see who will fall and who will rise. If Ässät wins three more games, they will remain in the SM-Liiga but if Vasa Sport wins, Ässät will fall from the SM-Liiga and Vasa Sport will take their place in the league. Ässät will then end up in the Mestis liiga, the league under the SM-Liiga where Vasa Sport currently are.
